The original but renovated accommodation remain as semi-detached, two level Bali-style buildings with traditional carved doorways that are found in village family compounds. This is a taste of early Bali. Ground floor rooms have small terrace gardens while upstairs have balconies. Additional standard and deluxe rooms are in newer wings secreted be- hind verdant gardens.

The basic rooms have large, comfortable beds; quiet and super chilled air conditioning with an overhead fan. A table and chairs plus a desk provide a home away from home. The bathrooms are large with a hot and cold-water shower plus lots of natural light,

which is perfect for overnight drying swimmers. A restaurant presents a tasty buffet breakfast dai ly and delicious snacks are delivered to one of two sparkling blue pools that are fabulously quiet. The nasi goring is sublime.

The pools are separated by the original Bali-style rooms and lined with shaded sun loungers and a fountain of an elegant Hindu Goddess supplies a gentle waterfall sound track for relaxing poolside time.

Watch the little birds swoop down to sip the cool water that is wonderfully refreshing to swim in. In the late afternoon guests from France, Italy, Indo nesia, England and Australia filter in but the spell of serenity remains.
